2. Context: B2B relationships only

Our services are addressed exclusively to legal entities and professionals. The data we process typically belongs to contact persons acting on behalf of a company (employees, managers, dispatchers), not to individual consumers.

3. What data we may collect

Through the contact form and subsequent correspondence we may collect: the contact person's name, company name, business email address, phone number, shipment or quotation details (route, cargo type, quantities, deadlines) and the content of your message.

At a technical level, the hosting server automatically records, in standard logs, the IP address and access data (date, time, page accessed, browser), for the operation and security of the website.

4. Purposes of processing

We use this data to: answer quote requests, handle business communication related to your enquiry, prepare offers, organise and manage transport and logistics requests and, if a business relationship is created, fulfil the related legal, fiscal and accounting obligations.

5. Legal basis

We process data based on: our legitimate interest in B2B business communication (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations, where applicable (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).

6. How long we keep the data

We keep data only as long as necessary for: handling the request, the course of the business relationship, fulfilling legal and accounting obligations (statutory archiving periods) or the company's legitimate business records. Data that is no longer needed is deleted.

7. Who has access to the data

Data may be accessed by: our internal staff, within the limits of their duties; verified logistics and transport partners, strictly to the extent necessary to prepare or perform a transport request (for example, contact details for loading/unloading); our web hosting, email and IT service providers, acting as processors; public authorities, only where legally required.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and objection, as well as the right to data portability where applicable. To exercise these rights, write to office@transstar.ro; we reply within the statutory deadlines.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP) — www.dataprotection.ro.
